Markets return May 20th! Sign up for our newsletter for the latest scoop on market openings. Save the Date for the 1st Annual Strawberry Dessert Festival! Mass Farmers Markets and area restaurants will celebrate local strawberry season from June 14th through 29th. When you order a strawberry dessert at any participating restaurant, part of the proceeds will go to our work supporting farmers markets statewide. Participating restaurants signed up so far include: Bistro 5 (Medford),Chez Henri (Cambridge), The Fireplace (Brookline), flora(Arlington),Highland Kitchen (Somerville), Lineage (Brookline), Lumiere (Newton), Persephone (Boston), Tomasso Trattoria (Southborough, and Upstairs on the Square (Cambridge). In addition, Whole Foods Market will donate 10% of the proceeds from sales of their strawberry-rhubard pies to the cause. Stay tuned for more details!

We are a public, non-profit, charitable service organization dedicated to the needs of farmers, consumers and communities. We are managed by a volunteer Board of Directors and work with community development groups. We hold weekly Farmers' Markets in many local neighborhoods and provide support for over 127 farmers' markets state-wide. Massachusetts farmers' markets connect local consumers directly with fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, eggs, baked goods, and other products grown or produced on local farms. In addition to providing a healthy shopping experience, markets provide a natural setting for special events and build community in the neighborhoods where they take place.
