Assistant Market Manager & Food Access Coordinator
The Assistant Market Manager / Food Access Coordinator is the friendly face and driving energy behind our markets—someone who thrives in a fast-paced team environment, loves building community, and is passionate about local food and equitable food access. In this role, you’ll support vendors, welcome and assist shoppers, oversee SNAP, SNAP Match, and HIP transactions, and spread the word about our markets both in person and online. We’re looking for reliable, outgoing, and self-motivated candidates with a genuine interest in agriculture, nutrition, and farmers markets, and the communication skills to connect with people from all walks of life.

MFM Marketing Assistant
Part-Time, Remote
10–15 hours per week
Hourly rate: $17 - $20
Start date: March or April (flexible)
We are seeking a part-time Marketing Assistant to support marketing and communications across our five farmers markets in Boston, Cambridge, and Somerville. This role is ideal for someone who loves marketing, social media, and local food, and enjoys creating engaging content that highlights farmers, vendors, and market communities.
Responsibilities include:
Creating and scheduling Instagram and Facebook posts, stories, and reels using Buffer
Drafting weekly newsletters in Constant Contact
Designing graphics in Canva for social media and newsletters
Updating the website in Squarespace with weekly news and highlights
Sending SMS updates to market customers
Taking photos and short videos at markets for marketing content
Collaborating with Market Managers and vendors to identify stories and highlights
Assisting with Google Ads and paid advertising campaigns
This is a remote, flexible role requiring 10–15 hours per week, with occasional visits to markets during the season. We hope to find someone who can commit through the 2026 market season (through December) and potentially beyond.
